Toy Donations

Requests for toys will only be accepted using the official program application. Gifts In Kind International, the leading charity in the field of product philanthropy has been selected to administer the Mattel Toy Donation Program.

To download the application click here. For additional information about the program, please read below or visit Gifts In Kind International’s Web site or contact Gifts In Kind at (703) 836-2121 or via email at mattel@giftsinkind.org.

Request Letters from charities via facsimile or regular mail will no longer be considered. All organizations must complete the application – no exceptions will be made.

Each year Mattel receives thousands of requests for toys. Unfortunately, we are not able to grant toys to all eligible organizations. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to reapply each year.

Although most of our in-kind donations have traditionally been made during the holiday season, organizations may now apply throughout the year and receive toys to support on-going or non-holiday programs (based on availability of donated items). The deadline to submit an application for holiday toys was September 30th. Due to the high volume of requests for holiday toys, exceptions cannot be made. Applications will be accepted again beginning in January 2005..

Qualified organizations may request toys up to two times per calendar year (January through December), for a maximum of 600 toys per agency per year. For example, an organization may submit two requests for 300 toys each, or one request for 600 toys per year.

Due to the high volume of requests received, the following criteria have been established for toy donation consideration. Please review this information carefully prior to completing the donation program application. Priority is given to nonprofits who serve children ages 0-12
