Welcome to the relaunch of the Mattel Children's Foundation and Mattel's philanthropic programs. This year represents an exciting time in our commitment to making a difference in the lives of children in need. We believe it is part of our responsibility to give back to our communities globally and you will see that commitment throughout our new programs and activities for 2005.
We invite you to take a look at our new programs. Whether it be through our international grantmaking program, our toy donations, or the volunteer activities of our employees globally, we think you will agree with us – Mattel is truly “making a meaningful difference, one child at a time!”

We believe it is our responsibility, as the largest toy manufacturer in the world, to
lead the way in making a difference in the lives of children. We do that through our safe and reliable products as well as by giving back to our communities through our philanthropic programs.
Each and every day, whether partnering with global organizations, granting funds in local communities, donating toys, or coordinating our worldwide volunteer force, Mattel is making a difference – one child at a time.
This philanthropic drive is part of who we are as a company. Mattel has a long
history of actively supporting its communities around the world with a global commitment to children in need. Mattel's philanthropic programs consist of the
Mattel Children's Foundation, which includes U.S. and international grantmaking
and employee matching gifts, scholarships and volunteer grants, as well as toy donations and corporate contributions, partnerships and volunteerism.
Mattel's philanthropic programs globally are guided by:
Mattel's Philanthropic Vision
